Transit Accessibility Analysis (Odessa, TX)
Built a GIS-based transit accessibility project in ArcGIS Pro to identify underserved areas in Odessa, Texas. Combined U.S. Census ACS poverty and vehicle-access data with EZ-Rider bus stop locations, created a 0.5-mile walk buffer, and applied spatial filtering to identify higher-need tracts with weaker transit coverage. Final thresholds focused on tracts with poverty rates ≥ 15% and households without vehicle access ≥ 5% to highlight transit desert areas for planning attention.
